How to play
Tap or scan your QUIZ-IT fob, choose how you want to play, then answer the question.
Getting started
Activate your fob
Use the Activate page with your fob code, activation code and dashboard password.
Tap or scan
Tap the NFC fob against a compatible phone or scan its QR code. There is no app to install.
Choose a game mode
The question stays hidden until you choose how you want to play.
Answer the question
Once the mode is selected, the question is revealed and its timer starts.
Choose how to play
Every scan gives you five ways to play the question.
Randomly Select a Player
QUIZ-IT randomly chooses one of your active players. That player answers the question.
Select a Player
Choose exactly who should answer the question.
Head to Head
Everyone taking part answers the same question. After revealing the answer, select every player who got it right.
All Play
The whole group answers the same question. After revealing the answer, select the players who got it right.
Other Player
Use this when the person answering is not one of your saved players. Their result does not affect the leaderboard.
Timer and results
2 / 3 / 4 minutes
Easy questions have 2 minutes, Medium questions have 3 minutes and Hard questions have 4 minutes. The countdown begins when the game mode is confirmed and the question is revealed.
+ 5 minutes
When the question timer reaches zero, you have another five minutes to record the result. If no result is recorded before that window ends, the answer is treated as incorrect.
For Head to Head and All Play, marking the question as correct takes you to a results screen where you choose who answered correctly. Confirm those results before the final deadline.
Players and scoring
Saved players build up their own played, correct and incorrect totals.
Random Player / Select Player
Correct: the selected player gets 1 played and 1 correct.
Incorrect: the selected player gets 1 played and 1 incorrect.
Head to Head
Correct: selected players get a correct result. Every participating player not selected gets an incorrect result.
Incorrect: every participating player gets an incorrect result.
All Play
Correct: only the players you select as correct receive a played/correct result.
Incorrect: no player statistics are changed.
Other Player
Correct: no saved-player statistics are changed.
Incorrect: no saved-player statistics are changed.
The leaderboard uses each player's saved results, so their totals remain available after individual question sessions have finished.
Your dashboard
Your dashboard is split into three simple areas.
Manage Players
Add players, rename them, remove them from active play or restore them later.
Manage Categories
Choose the types of questions you want the fob to use. Select All Categories for the full mix, or choose your own combination.
Manage Difficulty
Choose Mixed, Easy, Medium or Hard to control the level of questions your fob can deliver.
Question allowance
Simply scanning the fob does not use one of your purchased questions. A question is counted once you choose a game mode and actually start it.
Troubleshooting
The fob will not open.
Try scanning the QR code with your phone camera. Make sure you have an internet connection and that the fob has been activated.
I cannot choose Random Player, Select Player, Head to Head or All Play.
Those modes need active saved players. Open Dashboard → Manage Players and add or restore at least one player.
I scanned the fob but changed my mind.
If you leave before selecting a game mode, the question has not started and it does not use one of your purchased questions.
I closed the page during a question.
The question still has its server-side deadline. If it is not resolved by the end of the question time plus the five-minute result window, it will be treated according to the timeout rules for that game mode.
My question mix is wrong.
Open Dashboard → Manage Categories and Manage Difficulty, check your selections and save them.
